A few years ago, RPG writer Dave Chapman (Doctor Who: Adventures in Time & Space; Conspiracy X) created RPGaDay as a way to blog about positive aspects of the gaming industry. Each day for one month bloggers would tackle a question about tabletop roleplaying. I decided to give this a try for #RPGaDay2017, so here goes.
Day 1 – What published RPG do you wish you were playing right now?
There are so many good tabletop RPGs out there right now, thanks to sites like Kickstarter and print on demand technologies. It has never been easier to publish a quality RPG. My shelves are stocked with tons of great games, so it’s difficult for me to choose one, but I’d have to say that I would really like to be playing John Harper’s Blades in the Dark right now. The concept of a party of thieves is intriguing, especially the split between mission and downtime. And the book itself is gorgeous. Clean art and layout with clear rules and an abundance of setting ideas in the city of Duskwall.
